Communication Matters of South Florida, Inc. specializes in the evaluation and treatment of pediatric speech and language disorders. We service children in the south Miami-Dade county area.

The Director

Pamela Zomerfeld is the owner and director of Communication Matters of South Florida, Inc. Ms. Zomerfeld, a long time resident of Miami Florida, received her Bachelor of Science degree from Texas Christian University in speech and language pathology and a Masters of Science degree from Nova University in speech and language pathology.

Ms. Zomerfeld began her career in the Miami-Dade county Public schools where she served the speech and language needs of children in various elementary schools. She then went on to teach one of the first speech and language delayed Pre-K programs in the county. In addition to her duties in the school system, Ms. Zomerfeld worked in private practice specializing in pediatric speech and language disorders. Much of her therapy efforts focused on working with children with pragmatic and social language disorders. She has spent more than ten years conducting pragmatic/language social skills groups.

Ms. Zomerfeld is a Member of the American Speech-Language and Hearing association and a recipient of the ASHA ACE award in recognition of her dedication to continuing education in the field of speech-language pathology.
